Sport Specific Personal Training
Sport specific personal training is about achieving maximum performance and maximum results. We take great pride in training athletes to perform at their best; to run faster, jump higher, and hit harder! We work with kids, teens, and adults for just about every sport. We provide sport specific personal training across the valley in Gilbert, Ahwatukee, and Scottsdale, with our main office/gym in Chandler, AZ.
Golf – Training golfers is about consistency, precision, and power. The goal is to develop better muscle control in order to have a more consistent swing and to develop more power to drive the ball farther than your friends and co-workers. Many golfers experience lower back pain and shoulder pain due to muscle imbalances. Golf is a one sided sport, you are either a left or a right handed player. Due to this fact one side of your body is being worked more than the other. If you’re an avid golfer, the imbalance is more pronounced. The more offen you play, the more likely you are to develop muscle imbalance related issues. At Vimtrim, it is our job to identify the imbalances and fix them through corrective exercises and stretching techniques. You can enjoy the game without pain!
Football– We enjoy training young men who want to take it to a higher level. Whether it be the linemen or the quarterback, we can help develop the power, speed, and agility needed to make the winning pass, the winning catch, or to hold the line when it counts the most. Speed, power, and agility is the name of the game. Achieving high performance, injury free, is our primary objective. We believe in pushing the limits in a way that makes sense. Too often athletes who desire to take it to the next level try do do so by taking short cuts and/or putting proper form on the wayside. No one can play if they are injured, so training the right way is our number one focus!
Basketball – We train middle school and high school students and take pride in their achievements. Basketball is an incredibly demanding sport, but with the proper training we can take any player to new heights. Vertical leap development, agility performance training, and increased strength and size are all critically important for any star player.
All Sports – The body is the most amazing machine on the planet. Nothing comes close to the human body’s abilities when trained to peek performance. It is all about understanding body mechanics. For example, years ago when Chris James was a young trainer,he had a young man who was training for the shotput at his high school. Chris knew nothing about shotput at the time, but he took the time to understand the mechanics of the throw. Chris trained him for 4 months before his first meet, where the young man broke the school record on his first attempt! Over the years Chris James and his staff have trained athletes for other sports such as triathlons, volleyball, tennis, hockey, water polo, and track & field.
